The Stihl MSE 190 featured a safety switch to prevent accidental startups, a quick-stop chain brake for added safety, and a tool-less oil cap for easy refilling of the chain oil.

Overload protection-High performance without overloading: If your electric chainsaw overheats, it will automatically switch the engine off by triggering the red overload button. The engine will cool down after a few moments and you will be able to continue working.
Clamp end stop-Make sawing safer and more precise: A plastic clamp end stop fixes the device to the wood, permitting a precise cut. A metal clamp end stop is available as an accessory.
Ematic chain lubrication system-The Ematic chain lubrication system ensures pinpoint lubrication of the saw chain links and guide bar rails. When used with STIHL OILOMATIC saw chain, it will provide maximum lubrication, longer wear and less oil consumption than conventional methods of chain lubrication. The Ematic system can reduce bar oil consumption up to 50%.
